A woman was displaced, and a shed burned in separate one-alarm fires in Oakland on Monday, fire officials said Tuesday.
Late Monday morning, a fire was reported in a third-floor unit at a residential hotel at 1569 Jackson St. The fire was contained to the one unit and the American Red Cross was called to assist the resident.
Early Monday afternoon, a fire was reported in the 2700 block of 79th Avenue where a shed caught fire behind a single-family home.
In 20 minutes, firefighters brought the blaze under control.
