Annual Black Holiday Expo welcomes shoppers before shutdown

Oakland African American Chamber of Commerce is hosting its third annual Black Holiday Expo Sunday, in conjunction with the Akoma Holiday Market.

The Holiday Market and Black Holiday Expo present an opportunity for the community to support many Black-owned businesses before further mandatory shutdowns and restrictions.

The event, located at Liberation Park, on Foothill Boulevard beside the Eastmont Town Center, is free of charge, and will be operating from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In addition to retail and food vendors, free flu shots will be available.
