Wood, cardboard fire burns for hours at Livermore manufacturing business

A large pile of wood pallets and cardboard intended for shipping caught fire at a cardboard manufacturing business in Livermore on Sunday night, a Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department spokesman said.

The fire was reported around 9:20 p.m. at the business in the 6800 block of Brisa Street south of Interstate Highway 580.

The blaze took about four hours to be fully extinguished and did not cause injuries or damage any nearby buildings, Deputy Chief Joe Testa said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, Testa said.
