Search continues for missing 18-year-old Oakland man

Police in Oakland are asking the public’s help in finding a young man who was reported missing earlier this month.

Jeffrey Kirkland, 18, packed his belongings and left a home in the 2100 block of High Street about 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 1, saying that he was going to Vallejo, according to a post Saturday by Oakland police on Twitter.

An unknown person driving a white four-door Honda Accord picked him up, police said.

Kirkland was wearing a gray sweatshirt and black pants. He is described as African American, 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 185 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about Kirkland’s location is asked to contact the police missing persons unit at (510) 238-3641.
