Sudden cold front, slight chance of rain forecast Friday

Dry and seasonable weather continues Thursday, before a cold front arrives Friday through the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

San Francisco and Oakland areas will be mostly sunny with highs in the low 70s, before cooling to the mid 50s at night. Winds will be 5 to 9 mph.

San Jose’s region can expect early morning fog, before increasingly clear and sunny skies. Highs will be near 80, with lows around 50 as night. Calm winds will become 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.

Santa Rosa is also forecast to have patchy fog in the early morning, before clearing to sunny skies the rest of the day. Highs will be near 80, and lows at night will be in the upper 40s. Calm winds will increase to around 6 mph in the afternoon.

A slight chance of rain is forecast for Friday and Saturday across the Bay Area.
