Dublin Mayor David Haubert is headed toward a seat on the Alameda County Board of Supervisors in a tight race with Vinnie Bacon, according to preliminary results from the Alameda County Registrar of Voters.
District 1 includes the cities of Livermore and Dublin and much of Fremont and the eastern portion of unincorporated Alameda County.
Haubert had just over 53 percent of the vote compared with nearly 47 percent for Bacon as of late Tuesday night.
Haubert has served as Dublin’s mayor since 2014. He was elected to the Dublin City Council in 2012 and previously served on the Dublin Unified School District’s Board of Trustees.
Bacon has been on the Fremont City Council since 2012.
