One person died after a car careened off a cliff Friday morning in the Lexington Hills community of Santa Clara County, south of the Lexington Reservoir, the California Highway Patrol said.
The crash was reported just before 8 a.m. on northbound state Highway 17 just north of Hebard Road.
One person died, according to preliminary information from the CHP. The car was down about 150 feet from the roadway.
