At least one person died in a crash Saturday afternoon in unincorporated Contra Costa County, California Highway Patrol officials said.
The crash was reported just after 3 p.m. on eastbound state Highway 4 just east of McEwen Road.
A vehicle went down an embankment and at least one person suffered fatal injuries, CHP officials said.
