The eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 near the 4th Street off-ramp in San Francisco are closed due to police activity.
San Francisco police announced the lane closures at 10:13 a.m. via Twitter. They described the incident as an “individual in crisis” and said Crisis Negotiation Officers are assisting at the scene.
The California Highway Patrol is advising drivers to use the 4th Street exit and re-enter at Harrison Street or at Bryant and 2nd street.
Traffic is severely delayed in the area. Police said they will soon provide updates.
