San Jose police investigate two separate Tuesday morning homicides

San Jose police are investigating two separate fatal shootings in the city on Tuesday.

The first was reported at 12:07 a.m. at the Extended Stay America hotel in the 6000 block of San Ignacio Avenue off of Bernal Road in South San Jose.

Officers arrived and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital and succumbed to his injuries there, police said.

At 6:14 a.m., officers then responded to the 3200 block of Loma Verde Drive on a report of a person down and arrived to find a man with at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

No arrests have been made in either homicide, the 31st and 32nd so far in San Jose in 2020. Anyone with information about either case is asked to call the San Jose police homicide unit at (408) 277-5283 or the Crime Stoppers hotline at (408) 947-7867.
