Still no arrests in shooting homicide of Richmond rapper

Police on Saturday continue to investigate a shooting that killed a Richmond rapper, but said two others who were wounded have been released from the hospital.

Butcher died at the scene and two others, a 31-year-old Hercules woman and a 50-year-old Richmond man, were hospitalized and have since been released, Sgt. Aaron Pomeroy said Saturday.

Numerous shell casings were found at the scene and detectives are following leads, but no arrests have been made, Pomeroy said.

Butcher’s death is Richmond’s 15th homicide this year.
