All BART stations operating again after systemwide shutdown

BART service, out of operation since opening time at 8 a.m. Sunday, has been restored systemwide, the agency said shortly before 12:30 p.m.

BART announced the system shutdown shortly before the day’s operations were scheduled to start at 8 a.m. due to what it described as a computer communication problem.

Service to all East Bay stations and as far as the Montgomery Street station was finally running shortly before noon.
