San Francisco police say officers arrested four suspects in the Sunset District for allegedly being in possession of and manufacturing illegal firearms.
On Aug. 21, police served a search warrant on the 1500 block of 48th Avenue where officers found and seized 29 firearms, multiple rounds of ammunition with various calibers and narcotics, police announced Wednesday in a statement.
Authorities said the search warrant resulted from an ongoing investigation into the possession and distribution of illegal firearms.
Police identified the suspects as 60-year-old Bart Yoldi of San Francisco, 37-year-old Ahmad Aboudallah of San Francisco, 38-year-old Gina Costello of San Francisco, and 51-year-old Todd Brown of San Francisco.
Police booked Yoldi on charges of possession of a controlled substance while armed, two counts of possession of an assault weapon, possession of methamphetamines, criminal storage of a firearm and three counts of manufacturing/assembling a firearm.
Aboudallah was booked on charges of possession of a controlled substance while armed, possession of an assault weapon, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, manufacturing/assembly of a firearm and criminal storage of a firearm.
Police booked Costello on charges of possession of a silencer, possession of a control substance while armed, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and possession of methamphetamines.
Brown faces charges of nines counts of possession of an assault weapon, possession of a controlled substance while arms, four counts of possession of short-barrelled rifles/sawed off shotguns, manufacturing assault weapons, criminal storage of a firearm, possession of methamphetamines and six counts of manufacturing/assembling a firearm.
