Update: Napa County expands mandatory evacuation zones due to fire

The Napa County Office of Emergency Services and Cal Fire officials have ordered immediate evacuations for additional areas threatened by a group of fires dubbed the LNU Lightning Complex.

The latest evacuation orders issued on Nixle at 2:18 p.m. include:

• Moskowite Corner to Wooden Valley Road, including the community of Circle Oaks.
• Atlas Peak from the Bubbling Wells Pet Cemetery at 2462 Atlas Peak Road East to the dead end.
• From Loma Vista Road headed east to the dead end of Soda Canyon Road.

Evacuations orders shared on Nixle at 12:15 p.m. are effective for the following areas:

• Snell Valley and Butts Canyon roads, including Berryessa Estates and Spanish Valley.
• Butts Canyon Road from the Lake County line to James Creek Road in Napa, in addition to Markley Cove Resort to Pleasants Valley Road.

An evacuation center has been set up at Crosswalk Community Church at 2590 1^st Street in Napa.

According to Cal Fire, evacuations previously ordered remain in effect in the following areas:

• Highway 128 from Lower Chiles Valley to Monticello roads.
• Highway 128 from Chiles Pope Valley to Lower Chiles Valley roads.
• Chiles Pope Valley Road from Highway 128 to Lower Chiles Valley Road.
• All of Hennessey Ridge Road.

Highway 128 between Wragg Canyon Road and Pleasants Valley Road has been closed. Chiles Pope Valley and Sage Canyon roads were previously shut down.

Three large fires are contributing the LNU Lightning Complex, including the 2,700-acre Hennessey Incident near Hennessey Ridge Road in Napa County, the 5,000-acre Gamble Incident near Berryessa Knoxville Road west of Brooks and the 4,500-acre 15-10 Incident near Putah Creek Bridge and Berryessa Knoxville Road.

As of 7 a.m., Cal Fire said none of the three fires have reached any level of containment. One structure and two outbuildings had been destroyed, and another 205 were threatened, due to the Hennessey Incident.
