Heavy smoke seen coming from several fires near Morgan Territory and Marsh Creek roads in Contra Costa County, Calif. the morning of Sunday, Aug. 16, 2020. The night before was riddled with thunder and lightning storms amid a sweltering heat wave.
Multiple agencies are responding Sunday morning to several fires in the area of Morgan Territory and Marsh Creek roads near Mt. Diablo State Park in unincorporated Contra Costa County.
Officials say the fire is putting out a lot of smoke and said that the public should not call 911 to report the smell of smoke.
Units from Cal Fire, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District and San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District are among those responding.
