Firefighters are battling a large fire outbreak in the area of Arroyo Hondo and Oakridge roads northeast of Milpitas in Santa Clara County, Cal Fire said Sunday afternoon.
The Marsh Fire, reported before 2 p.m., is burning at three locations and totals about 585 acres, according to Cal Fire.
The agency also updated the public about the Deer Zone, or Deer Complex, fires at 3:40 p.m. The group of four fires in the Round Valley area of unincorporated Contra Costa County has grown to 325 acres.
Evacuation warnings were issued at 10:34 a.m. for residents in the upper portion of Morgan Territory Road, but actual evacuations have not yet been ordered.
