The youth, a male whose name and age were not disclosed, was found at about 8 p.m. Thursday by officers responding to a report of shots fired in the 2000 block of Sonoma Avenue at Tennessee Street in Vallejo, police said in a statement.
The boy suffered at least one gunshot wound.
He is being treated at a local hospital. His condition was unavailable Friday afternoon.
No further details were immediately available. The shooting is under investigation.
