Police release Bayview shooting video in attempt to identify suspects

San Francisco police have released video from a shooting that injured two men in the city’s Bayview District earlier this month and are asking for the public’s help in finding the shooters.

The shooting was reported at 8:19 p.m. on July 11 in the area of Ingalls Street and Oakdale Avenue. Officers responded and found a victim with gunshot wounds that are not considered life-threatening, police said.

Officers then learned a second victim had been transported to a hospital with a life-threatening gunshot wound prior to their arrival.

Based on video surveillance footage obtained at the scene, investigators believe a black four-door Chevrolet SS drove south and then turned around north on Osceola Lane, then stopped and four suspects opened fire on the victims, according to police.

The suspects then fled north on Osceola Lane, leaving dozens of rifle and handgun shell casings at the scene.

The video released by police Wednesday shows the vehicle driving one direction and then leaving the frame, then returning from the other direction and stopping before the suspects get out and open fire.
