The Crews Fire burning since Sunday afternoon in hills east of Gilroy is 90 percent contained as of Friday morning, according to Cal Fire.
The wildfire has scorched 5,513 acres and full containment is expected by July 16. No injuries were reported, but one structure was destroyed in the blaze.
On Friday, minimal fire activity is expected and crews will work on mopping up, Cal Fire said.
The blaze was reported shortly before 2 p.m. Sunday along Crews Road at east of Gilroy in rural Santa Clara County, Cal Fire said.
The cause is under investigation.
Evacuation orders have been lifted and an evacuation center at the Gilroy Senior Center has been closed. All road closures have also been removed.
