Daughter finds parents dead in Petaluma home, police consider murder-suicide

Police in Petaluma are investigating a possible murder-suicide that occurred Thursday.

Officers with the Petaluma Police Department responded Thursday at 9:53 a.m. to the 1600 block of Shenandoah Court after a distraught woman reported discovering both her parents were deceased in their home.

Responding officers located a man and a woman deceased in the residence.

Police said both the man and the woman appeared to have suffered gunshot wounds.

A firearm was located at the residence.

Detectives with the police department responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation.
