Firefighters are battling a 6-acre fire in the area of southbound U.S. Highway 101 in South San Jose on Thursday afternoon, according to Cal Fire.

Cal Fire officials wrote on Twitter shortly after 2:20 p.m. about the fire in the area of southbound Highway 101 south of Bailey Avenue. By 2:50 p.m., the blaze had scorched 6 acres.

No other details about the blaze were immediately available.
