Many Bay Area counties have allowed businesses, including restaurants, to partially reopen. Several counties are permitting restaurants to allow outdoor dining and allowing places of worship to resume services outdoors with modifications.
Evey county has its own reopening plans and the public should check their own county and city websites on what’s allowed to reopen and what remains closed.

The state on Friday released guidelines for schools, bars, gyms, camping grounds and professional sports to reopen starting next Friday.
Guidelines for schools and camps will apply statewide while other businesses sectors will be allowed to reopen based on the number of cases and testing in each county.
Additionally, guidance was issued for hotels, casinos, museums, zoos, aquariums and resuming filming production of movies and televisions shows.
Many Bay Area counties have begun to allow the reopening of some businesses, but some have taken a slower approach.
San Francisco, for example, has split the state’s Phase 2 reopening plan into three stages.

Beginning on June 8, Alameda County will begin to allow small gatherings outdoors with different households with restrictions.
Small outdoor gatherings are permitted for people who stay in the same “social bubble” of no more than 12 people and should be maintained for at least three weeks. Health officials recommend people adhere to social distancing guidelines and wear face coverings.
Additionally, the county will allow childcare providers will be allowed to care for all children, not just children for essential workers. Libraries will be able to partially reopen with curbside pickup of books and other library media items. Businesses with limited person to person contact, such as appliance repair and pet grooming businesses can resume on June 8.

This week the county has allowed outdoor dining and outdoor swimming pools to reopen on June 5.
Additionally, county officials have allowed outdoor religious services to take place and overnight single family camping. Dog parks have also reopened.
The county plans to allow hair salons and barbershops to reopen on June 17.

Marin County officials Friday released guidelines to allow for outdoor religious services and cultural ceremonies to take place starting on Saturday.
The county on Friday reopened dog parks back to the public with residents required to adhere to social distancing guidelines and wearing a face covering. Individuals should limit interactions with dogs outside of their household, health officials said.

County officials released guidelines this week to allow for summer and day camps to occur this summer.

The City opened a new Covid-19 testing popup site at St. Mary’s Cathedral (1111 Gough St.) Saturday aimed at testing residents who attended protests recently.
City health officials said people do not need to have symptoms and that the site is accepting drive-thru and walk-ins. Drivers can enter at Ellis Street and pedestrians can enter at Cleary Court.
The site will continue to be open until June 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The site will then reopen on June 11 through June 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

San Mateo County Parks say they plan to reopen more parks and parking lost beginning on Monday.
Some of the parks and lots reopening include Devil’s Slide Trail and Flood Park, and parking lots at San Pedro Valley Park in Pacifica and San Bruno Mountain Park in Brisbane. A full list can be found at https://parks.smcgov.org/.
On Saturday, all 12 libraries in the county partially reopened to allow for contactless service for residents to order and pick up books by appointment.

On Friday, many businesses sectors were allowed to reopen under updated new public heather orders by the county’s public health officer.
In-store retail, outdoor dining, manufacturing, small service businesses, childcare and summer programs, religious, cultural, and civic activities were allowed to resume with modifications.
