City revises evacuation order, crews contain Potrero Hill grass fire

San Francisco officials issued an immediate evacuation order at 1:25 p.m. due to a grass fire in Potrero Hill.

The initial order only listed Dakota Street blocks, but a revised order issued at 1:55 p.m. clarifies and expands on the areas threatened by the fire. The current evacuation order is as follows:

  • Missouri Street: 800 and 900 blocks
  • 23rd Street: 1500 and 1600 blocks
  • Dakota Street: 100, 200 and 300 blocks

The fire department reported via Twitter that the grass fire at 949 Connecticut Street in Potrero Hill has been contained to 2.5 acres, but evacuation orders have not yet been lifted.

Officials say no structures were damaged but one adult was injured as a result.
