Crowd gathers again in protest at Fremont Police Department

About 300 protesters are demonstrating peacefully in Fremont Thursday evening, a police spokeswoman said.

Carrying signs, chanting and drumming, the 300 or so started walking at about 5 p.m. from Washington High School to the Police Department at 2000 Stevenson Blvd., spokeswoman Geneva Bosques said.

People of all ages are participating and police are facilitating road closures so the protesters can walk in the road.

No looting, vandalism or violence has occurred, Bosques said.
