Woman killed, teen critically injured in Vallejo shooting

A shooting Friday evening in Vallejo left a woman dead and a teen in critical condition.

Vallejo police responded Friday at 5:11 p.m. to the parking lot of Kings Market in the 1600 block of Fairgrounds Drive on a report of a shooting.

Officers found a woman suffering from at least one gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police also located a 16-year-old boy with at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

The identity of the woman will be released by the Solano County Coroner’s Office.

As of Saturday morning, police did not have any information on a suspect.

The shooting death is the city’s ninth homicide this year.
