Santa Rosa man faces 12 felony charges, including forcefully pimping 16-year-old girl

A 20-year-old Santa Rosa man was arrested Friday on 12 felony charges, including unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, causing a minor to engage in commercial sex, and drugs and weapons possession, the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office said.

The case began with a domestic violence report made April 13 in Santa Rosa by a 16-year-old girl.

She told deputies that her 20-year-old boyfriend, Andrew Flolo, “physically assaulted her and was forcing her to perform sexual acts on strangers for money,” the office said in a news release.

An investigation by detectives led to evidence verifying the victim’s claims and an arrest warrant was issued April 27 for Flolo, whose location was unknown.

The suspect was finally located as a passenger in a vehicle pulled over for a traffic stop shortly before 5 p.m. May 1 in the 3100 block of Santa Rosa Avenue.

Sonoma County Sheriff's Office Andrew Flolo, 20, of Santa Rosa, Calif. was arrested Friday, May 1, 2020 on 12 felony charges, including drugs sales and forcefully pimping a 16-year-old girl.

He was taken into custody and a search turned up a loaded handgun in his waistband, the sheriff’s office said. The driver and another passenger were questioned and released, but a backpack belonging to Flolo was found in the vehicle that contained prescription pills, heroin, packaging material, and a digital scale.

A search warrant was served at his home that turned up two rifles reported stolen in a residential burglary in Stockton.

Flolo was booked into the Sonoma County Jail for causing a minor to engage in commercial sex, pandering, domestic violence, death threats, oral copulation of a minor, unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, possession of narcotics for sale, transportation of drugs for sale, possession of a loaded firearm in public, possession of a controlled substance while armed and possession of the stolen property. He is being held on $500,000 bail.
