A man was fatally shot in Oakland’s Lower Dimond District on Monday morning, police said.
Officers who responded to a report of a shooting in the 3100 block of Pleitner Avenue, just west of Interstate Highway 580, at 10:12 a.m. Monday found the man suffering from a fatal gunshot wound, according to police.
No other information about the shooting is being released by Oakland police at this time.
