Police arrest Monterey woman for attempted homicide suspicion in domestic violence incident

A 29-year-old Monterey woman was arrested on suspicion of attempted homicide Wednesday in what police say was a domestic violence incident.

The Monterey Police Department was notified about 5:30 a.m. when a stabbing victim came to the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula.

The victim, who is expected to survive, had been taken to another hospital before officers arrived.

An investigation led police to contact Lillian Marie Perry, who had a domestic relationship with the victim. Perry was arrested and booked into the Monterey County Jail, with bail set at $500,000.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Detective Michael Garcia at (831) 646 – 3814 or the confidential tip line at (831) 646-3840.
