A person died Tuesday night in a collision on westbound Interstate Highway 580 in Oakland, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
Dispatchers received a call at 9:27 p.m. of the collision on Highway 580 just east of Interstate Highway 80, Officer Damian Cistaro said.
When officers arrived they found a collision and one person died there, Cistaro said.
