One dead, five vehicles involved in wrong-way crash

Lanes of eastbound Interstate Highway 580 have reopened following a fatal crash involving a wrong-way driver after North Livermore Avenue in Livermore Sunday morning, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The collision was reported about 6:20 a.m. and a sig alert was issued about 10 minutes later. At least five vehicles were involved and one person is dead, the CHP said.
