An assailant stabbed a man during a robbery in San Francisco’s Mission District early Friday morning as the two fought over a phone, police said.
Officers learned about the robbery and stabbing around 2:30 a.m., happening near the corner of 26th and Mission streets.
The male robber allegedly stabbed the victim with a knife during a struggle for the victim’s phone, according to police.
The 19-year-old victim was hospitalized and is in stable condition.
Officers were unable to arrest the suspect, police said.
