Vallejo police are investigating the city’s fourth homicide this year.

Police responded around 12:10 a.m. Thursday to a shooting in the 100 block of El Monte Avenue, Lt. Fabio Rodriguez said in a news release.

Officers found a man in the street suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Medical personnel responded but the victim died at the scene, Rodriguez said.
