Shooting victims dies in hospital, still no arrests made

A man died after he was shot in the Elmhurst district in East Oakland on Tuesday afternoon, police disclosed on Friday.

Officers who responded to a shooting in the 1800 block of 88th Avenue at about 5:07 p.m. on Tuesday found two men suffering from gunshot wounds, according to police.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital but one of them died there, police said.

The other victim is listed in stable condition, according to police.

No motive for the shooting has been disclosed and no one has been arrested.
