Santa Clara County has two new confirmed cases of COVID-19, otherwise known as the novel coronavirus, bringing the county’s total to nine, the county Public Health Department said Monday morning.
The new cases are two men — one is a household contact of a confirmed case in another county and the other is a household contact of another confirmed case in Santa Clara County.
Both men are under home isolation.
The county said in a statement:
“An increase is not unexpected.”
The county added:
“The Public Health Department will continue to identify anyone who has come into contact with these cases. The department will also be conducting community surveillance to determine the extent of possible disease spread in our community.”
No further information was immediately released Monday.
