Big-rig fire shuts down I-80 lanes in Hercules

A big-rig fire is blocking lanes of westbound Interstate Highway 80 in Hercules on Thursday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The fire was reported at about 2:50 p.m. on westbound Highway 80 just east of state Highway 4.

The response to the blaze has closed the two right westbound lanes of the highway and there is no estimate for when the lanes will reopen, according to the CHP.
