Man surrenders to sheriff’s office in connection with Tuesday homicide

The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday it made an arrest in relation to the discovery of a woman found dead in a home on Mountain View Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

Ryoichi Fuseya, 25, turned himself in at the sheriff’s department headquarters Wednesday morning just before noon, accompanied by his attorney. After being questioned about the woman’s death, sheriff’s deputies arrested and booked Fuseya into the main jail in San Jose as a suspect in the slaying.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence in an unincorporated area of Santa Clara County around 3:47 p.m. Tuesday and, after searching the premises, found the unidentified woman’s body. Homicide investigators classified her death as a homicide.

The woman’s identity will not be released until her next of kin can be notified, according to the sheriff’s department.
