A woman was found fatally stabbed in Hayward on Tuesday evening, police said.
Officers responded at about 5:40 p.m. to the 24000 block of Willimet Way, located near Birchfield Park just east of Interstate Highway 880, and found the woman suffering from stab wounds.
She was pronounced dead at the scene and her name is not yet being released, according to police.
No arrest has been made and Hayward police have not released any suspect information. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Police Department at (510) 293-7176.
The homicide is the third in Hayward so far in 2020, police said.
