A man and a dog were rescued without injury Sunday afternoon from the side of a cliff on Yerba Buena Island, the San Francisco Fire Department said.
Firefighters were called to a cliff off Northgate Road about 4:15 p.m. Sunday, where the man and dog were struck. Firefighters said a “high-angle” rescue was needed, and that a small boat – a “skiff” – and a rescue swimmer were deployed from Fire Boat No. 3 to make the rescue.
