One person in custody after Tara Hills SWAT standoff

The Contra Costa County sheriff’s SWAT team ended a standoff Wednesday morning with a barricaded suspect who reportedly brandished and fired a weapon in the unincorporated community of Tara Hills.

According to an 8:40 a.m. update on the sheriff’s office Twitter account, the team cleared the house and one suspect is in custody.

The sheriff’s office wrote on Twitter shortly after 7 a.m. about the standoff on O’Toole Way. More details about the case were not immediately available.
