Police say woman critically injured man in unprovoked Mission Bay stabbing

A man suffered life-threatening injuries Monday night after a woman stabbed him in San Francisco’s Mission Bay neighborhood.

Officers responded to the stabbing around 8:30 p.m. near Terry Francois Boulevard and Mariposa Street, police said.

There, officers learned the victim had been attacked without provocation. The victim, a 53-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The suspect, a 53-year-old woman, was taken into custody by officers. Police did not release her name.
