Police confirmed a man died after he tried to stop a suspect from taking his laptop Tuesday in Oakland’s Montclair district.
The theft occurred in the 2000 block of Mountain Boulevard shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, police said.
The man was listed in critical condition following his efforts to stop the suspect. Later in the day police said that the man died.
