The Contra Costa County Library system has unveiled its new website, which library officials say is updated in look and feel, and is easier to use whether it’s accessed from a computer, tablet or phone.
The improvements, which also include improved search capabilities and the capability to create reading lists, rate books and find reading recommendations from others, are part of an update of a website at https://ccclib.org that had been essentially unchanged for 20 years, and now has a more modern look.
County Librarian Melinda Cervantes said:
“Our new website is more intuitive and patrons can find library materials and resources more easily.”
“The modern look and feel of the platform is going to encourage library users to explore and learn about everything the library has to offer.”
Launching the new website directly addresses one of the main goals in the county library system’s 2019 Strategic Plan — for the library to “champion personal and community engagement in literacy and reading and to enrich lives.”
