A suspect shot by police Saturday morning in the Mission District is being treated for life-threatening injuries, San Francisco police said in an update Saturday afternoon.
The shooting happened after police responded to a burglary call about 8:30 a.m. at 23rd and Capp streets, according to police.
The suspect assaulted the officers with a weapon, which led to the shooting, according to police. The suspect’s weapon was not described.
An officer was also injured in the incident was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
