Flash floods, debris flows threaten Kincade Fire area Saturday

With another round of heavy showers headed to the region, the National Weather Service has updated a flash flood watch for the Kincade Fire burn scar, to be in effect from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday.

Downpours are expected Saturday into early Sunday, along with gusty winds and a chance of thunderstorms.

Rainfall in the Kincade Fire area could exceed a half-inch per hour, bringing a risk for flooding and debris flows, according to the weather service.

The rain is expected to taper off Sunday and drier weather is forecast for Monday through at least Wednesday.
