Man finds ride to hospital after shooting, later succumbs to injuries

A man died after he was shot in East Oakland Tuesday morning, police said.

The shooting was reported in the area of 69th Avenue and Spencer Street at 9:51 a.m., according to police.

Officers responding to that area located a possible shooting but learned that the victim got a ride to a hospital before they arrived, police said.

The man was later pronounced dead at the hospital, according to police.

No further information about the homicide is being released at this time.
