San Rafael police arrested a boy Monday evening on suspicion of making threats against San Rafael High School on several social media platforms.
The vague threats were made for Wednesday and Nov. 25, and police began receiving the threat reports from concerned citizens and parents Monday afternoon, police Sgt. Justin Graham said.
Detectives contacted the high school, the San Rafael City Schools district and social media companies and were able to determine the owner of the accounts, Graham said.
The suspect was arrested and booked into Marin County Juvenile Hall.
Police thanked school staff, parents and students who reported the online threats. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call San Rafael police at (415) 485-3000 or leave information at http://www.srpd.org/tips.
