Two homeless men wounded by arrows at a camp near the San Francisco Bay Trail in Richmond on Friday night knew their suspected attacker, park police said Saturday.
Both men underwent surgery and are in stable condition Saturday at a hospital. One man was hit in the abdomen, the other in both the abdomen and leg, officials said.
Arrows struck them shortly before midnight, said Lt. Gretchen Rose of the East Bay Regional Park District police.
No arrests have been made in the attack. The suspected archer doesn’t live at the homeless camp, which is south of Central Avenue in Richmond, but the victims knew the person, Rose said.
The camp is on park district property that’s not open to the public, police said.
