Hosts and possibly ghosts of the Winchester Mystery House will be offering Halloween thrills Thursday at the haunted mansion in San Jose.
“Unhinged,” a suspenseful walk through the mansion in the dark with special effects, professional actors and disturbing scenes, can be experienced through Nov. 2 at the house located at 525 S. Winchester Blvd.
Tickets are $54 per person on Halloween. The Unhinged shows will be the only time in 2019 that guests will be able to walk through the home after dark.
The house has an intriguing history as the former home of Sarah Lockwood Pardee Winchester, who was the heiress to a large part of the Winchester Repeating Arms Company fortune.
