A male pedestrian was injured in a collision with a vehicle Wednesday morning near Lake Merritt in Oakland, according to police.
The crash was reported at 7:53 a.m. in the vicinity of 14th and Madison streets.
The driver remained on the scene to cooperate with investigators.
The victim was transported to a hospital in critical condition, according to police. An update on his condition was not immediately available Wednesday afternoon.
