Contra Costa County seeks applicants for drug, alcohol advisory board

Applicants are being sought for several open seats on the Contra Costa Alcohol and Other Drugs Advisory Board.

The Contra Costa Board of Supervisors appoints the board’s 11 volunteer members and three volunteer alternates.

The board is charged with assessing community needs regarding prevention, treatment and recovery from alcohol and other drug use, and reporting its findings to Contra Costa Health Services, the Board of Supervisors and community partners.

Applicants must be 16 or older and live in Contra Costa County. Vacancies to be filled are for District 5, covering the northern portion of the county (including Hercules, Martinez and Antioch), and for at-large and at-large alternate seats.
